What are Functional Blocks?

Functional Blocks

Functional Blocks serve as the architectural elements of CELUS Design Studio, representing high-level functionalities required for the design. They pose specific "questions" or requirements within the design, to which CUBOs provide the "answers" or solutions. Essentially, Functional Blocks bridge the gap between the overarching objectives and constraints of a circuit and the concrete, functional implementations provided by CUBOs. This framework allows for a structured approach to circuit design, facilitating the alignment of broad design goals with specific electronic solutions.

Although Functional Blocks are predefined to encapsulate high-level functionalities within a circuit, users can define specifications for these blocks. This flexibility allows CELUS Design Studio to tailor solutions that are more precise and closely aligned with the user's requirements. By setting detailed specifications, users can guide the CELUS Design Studio to offer CUBOs that not only match the functional requirements but also adhere closely to the desired performance characteristics, ensuring a more efficient and effective design process.
